For a leather sandal, it is not bad.However, it is not the most comfortable thing in the world.Then again, what leather sandal is, I suppose?The leather is nice as it adds a bit more "dress-up" then a regular sandal.That said, I prefer comfort over "dress-up".If you must have leather, buy this sandal.If you want more comfort, try the Reef Smoothy.You won't be disappionted.

Review of Reef Women's Fanning Sandal

The minute I put these sandals on they were comfortable. I like the idea of a bottle opener on the bottom of the sandal.I probably won't ever use the opener, but it's kind of cool knowing it's there, just in case.....

I typically don't wear thongs, as I don't like anything between my toes. But, these particular sandals were really comfortable and I find myself putting them on when going out, instead of my tennis shoes.

They are a little pricey, but well worth the cost in comfort compared to other thongs.

Review of Reef Women's Ginger Sandal

Better than your typical flip-flop! The sandal gets better over time as the foam bottom conforms to the shape of your foot to give you better support than a flat bottomed flip flop. I also will only buy sandals with cloth straps because it won't chafe my foot and give me horrible blisters. If you're like me and not willing to shell out $40+ for a pair of Rainbows, these are definitely a great alternative. I've been wearing mine for over a year!

Review of Reef Men's Fanning Flip Flop

I bought a pair of these sandals in February 2005 and am still wearing them. Like any sandal, they are fun and easy to wear. Just recently I've noticed that the front part of the soles has worn down and they are smooth now. Also the foam bed has started to crack in several places, but for the price I'd say I've gotten reasonable use out of them.

The bottle opener is a great conversation piece. Also rest assured, they do hold up to wear and tear. I was skeptical when I bought these how long they'd stay intact, but I can attest that they are still in and functional... kinda mangled, but still intact and functioning.

Also, if you think you're just gonna swing your leg up and crack open a beer like Mr. Joe Cool, then think again. I remember when I first got these I was at a backyard house party while in San Diego. I was flirting with these two girls, talkin' my game and trying to be super cool. So I grab another beer, and while talking to them, I lift my foot and try to crack the bottle open. Well, between trying to keep my balance and get the lip of the cap in the opener, I apparently shook it up a bit. When I finally did open it, the resulting explosion of foam shot all over me and the two girls. Not cool.

I would suggest taking the sandal off to use the bottle opener feature.

All and all, a great shoe. Fun and easy to wear.

Another tip: Make sure you wash these every so often! Stick 'em in the washing machine. I neglected to do this and developed a nasty case of athlete's foot from them. Just a heads up. Enjoy!

I have gone through about 6 six pairs of the previous Fanning signature sandal by Reef.The new version 02 is a big step up.The biggest change the "air bubble" that runs the entire length of the footbed.It makes the sandal super comfortable, almost like a running shoe sole without the upper.The signature of the Fanning is the church key bottle opener...a must like sunglasses and shorts on the beach.I love these.

Review of Reef Men's Dram Sandal

I was somewhat suspect when the description did not disclose the fluid capacity in each sandal, but I went ahead and ordered anyway.I was extremely disappointed to find via my own experimentation that each sandal has a capacity of no more than 1.5 fl oz.Unless you're packing Everclear or Absinthe, you're not even going to get buzzed off of these.

Nice novelty item, but besides that, hardly useful.
